Your
credit union has money to lend for any good purpose. It's money that
you and your fellow members have saved together. And it's available
to members like you at low rates.
That's one of the founding principles behind credit unions like La
Cap. |
* We do business
in accordance with the Federal Fair Housing Law and the Equal Credit Opportunity
Act.
Benefits of a La Cap Loan
Quick
and easy application process online
or by phone 24/7.
- Payments can be
made automatically through Payroll Deduction.
- Opportunity to
qualify for discount points resulting in a lower interest rate on all
vehicle loans.
- Simple interest
rates mean no prepayment penalties.
- Low cost Credit
Life Insurance provides security by paying off the outstanding balance
of your loan in the event of death.
- Low cost Credit
Disability Insurance takes over loan payments up to the policy maximum
if an insured member becomes disabled and unable to work.
Here's all you need
to know about requesting a La Cap loan or VISA card.
- Be a member - Because
we're your member-owned credit union, our federal regulators say we
can only lend money to members. To be a member, simply be eligible and
meet the minimum balance requirements of a deposit-type account with
La Cap. For example, an open Savings Account with as little as $5.00
in it would qualify, and you could request a loan or VISA.
- Be creditworthy
- Once you have requested a loan or VISA, your overall credit performance,
including a review of your Credit Bureau Report, will be evaluated to
determine your creditworthiness. La Cap works hard to find reasons to
say "yes" instead of "no." Even if we are unable to approve your loan
request, La Cap wants to work with you to help identify alternatives
you may not know existed, such as: Savings Secured Loans or VISA; Future
Shares Loans; Consumer Credit Counseling Services; and more.
- Be Informed - It's
important that you understand the information on your credit report
because it directly impacts your ability to obtain a credit card, buy
a car or home, rent an apartment, or even get a new job.
