La Cap Membership Rewards Nears $2 Million Mark
BATON ROUGE – La Capitol Federal Credit Union has returned nearly $2 million directly to its members over six years through its Membership Rewards program, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to financial partnership and member value. The latest annual Membership Rewards payout of more than $289,000 was distributed directly to qualifying members on October 1, 2026.
Membership Rewards are earned by building a multi-product relationship with La Cap. The foundation of the program begins with an active La Cap checking account, such as Choice Checking or Liquid Assets Checking. From there, members increase their reward potential by maintaining qualifying account types across savings, credit cards, vehicle loans, and mortgage loans. Each qualifying relationship adds to members' cumulative reward balances.
La Cap provides Membership Rewards to directly share the credit union's success with the people who make it possible. As a member-owned financial cooperative, La Cap uses the program to say thank you to loyal members for choosing La Cap for their everyday banking and long-term financial needs, ensuring that as a member's relationship with the credit union grows, the tangible benefits of membership grow along with it.
"Your financial needs will change over time, but you do not have to manage each stage of your financial journey alone," said La Capitol CEO and President Michael Hooper. "Checking, savings, credit cards, vehicle loans, and mortgages can work together to create a stronger financial foundation — while qualifying relationships can help you get even more from your La Cap membership."
Different financial needs arise at different stages of life. La Cap offers solutions designed to support those needs while giving qualifying members more opportunities to benefit from their relationship with the credit union.
